Lacquer removal??

Post by Anonymous »

Wasn't sure where to post this so I'll do it here.

Whats the best way to remove lacquer from an alloy wheel? On of my Slotmags for the Lotus has gone all peppered where there was moisture on the wheel or in the lacquer when it was done. Whats the best way to strip it back off without hurting the alloy and creating too much work for myself. I was thinking Notromors but am a little concerned that it will eat into the wheel.

Nitromors will do it,won't affect the alloy and can be rinsed off with white spirit instead of water. They do a specific remover for varnish which washes off with meths.
