why does this site seem to run real slow me and ray both think it does compared with other forums

I get that quite often Dunc but think it's more to do with problems up my end :shock: :flush: :D

As for lack of posts, I think it would be a start if the people working on their cars were to pull their fingers out & post more progress pics/reports :read2:

Connected and this forum would benefit a lot from a bit more input from those with info to share...... c'mon, you know who you are ;)

The site has gone down a few times in the last week, the last time was late last night. But as always 5quid host have it sorted in a few minutes of receiving an email, even when I emailed them at 21:39 last night.

However I haven't experienced any significant lag in the site either at home or work. Even if other sites are running OK it can be the route that your connection is taking to a particular site, not the site itself.

Rather than just saying the site is slow, please can you post the date/times you're experiencing this and when the delay occurs (i.e. when submitting a post, a pm, a search etc.) and approximately how long the delay is.

Its slow now mate :x just posting a message like Dunc says is tough! when i open up the message ive got to wait before i can type and then when i do type it slows down etc.

Also when there are pics in the events section that are linked from photobucket etc its a nightmare waiting for the pics to load :x my computer hangs and then i get a message that my Virtul Memory is set to low :(
