Thanks Dave your off my Christmas card list 8-)
OK so after deciding to go balls out and stroke the 440 to a 572 and keep my eyes out for some decent heads before next spring it has dawned on me that's arse about face.
There is no point in stroking to a 572 if I cant find heads that will flow that swept volume need to think this one out more?

Bob,
Its not arse about face, there plenty of heads that will fit your needs & desires.

It's the budget you wanna spend, you need to sort out.

Once you know what that is, doesn't matter if you do Block or Heads 1st

Tis true Mark As it is track only and a 440 thought I would try a 572, drill out the center journals and fit ARP bolts and a girdle.
Checking out a twin turbo set up at the Mo it cheaper than Indy 440-1 but not sure of the technolagy.

OK engine sorted spent today looking at the rolling chassis.
The rear end is pretty much sorted after last year so it was time to look at the front end.
Cass came over and we set about removing every thing from the front end including the Dash steering column wiring loom (f you can could call it that) all the ancillaries from the the engine bay , inner wings, and K frame.
Found that the rear drivers side rear K frame mounting point was badly repaired and the bolt and nut were completely separated from the chassis.
So only one bolt was holding the K frame to the chassis.
Just need to remove front floor and tunnel and can then think about rebuilding.
Have to extend Roll cage and fit mounts for rear plate and elephant ears.
Thanks again Mark could not have got done today what we did without you.
