"Today's version of drag racing certainly is different than 35 years ago to be sure. I feel that drag racing by definition is a quarter mile affair. I am of the opinion that the cars should have been detuned sort of like a Nascar vehicle. And there isn't much in the way of entertainment left. The racers/sponsors seem more interested in draging more stuff to the race track. The cars are billboards. Miss those beautiful paint jobs. And the drivers were not so much like the sheltered beings they are today."
