PAINT SPEC
THIS QUESTION MAY HAVE BEEN ASKED BEFORE BUT HERE GOES ANYWAY --- CAN ANYBODY ADVISE ME OF THE PAINT CODE OR WHERE I CAN ACCESS IT FOR MY 1970 CHARGER WHICH IS FY4 LIGHT GOLD METALLIC --- I HAVE CONTACTED A NUMBER OF BODY SHOPS IN MY AREA WITH THIS INFO BUT WITHOUT ANY SUCCESS THEY ALL SEEM TO NEED THE PAINT CODE MIX. THIS IS FOR WHEN IT IS RESPRAYED SO IT DOES NOT NEED TO MATCH THE CURRENT COLOUR WHICH I KNOW WILL HAVE BEEN LIGHT AFFECTED

any of the large paint companys will have a formula .... or large body shop ..that has a mixing scheme , & either the old micro fich ..or computer scales type . i know for a fact that sikkins & ppg..ici (nexia) have them ...could always phone their colour help line ..& they will fax or email you the formula .

edit forget what i just said ... pretty sure every thing is waterbase now form the large paint companys ..doubt all the old colours have been reformulated

This is the info I have for 1970 from the guys I use... It is still available! I can get you a cost if you want, or just get it matched somewhere.
