Why don't you go and weigh it at a council waste disposal site, it's a free service. My Road Runner weighs 1640 kg so I doubt if your Charger is 200 kg heavier. Tell the MOT guy it's lighter than it really is and your brakes will get through the test easier.

Would do if I could drive it to the council tip, but it is its first MOT, so no reg plates etc!!

A vehicle weight is not required for the MOT test. If suitable to be tested in the roller brake tester it can pass on a lock allowance.If more than 50% of the brakes being tested lock (so 3 of the main braking system or 2 for the handbrake)the vehicle is deemed to have met the braking efficiency.The tester would select N/A to the vehicle weight when entering the results. If it does not meet the requirements by lock allowance then it can be tested using a decelerometer as can a vehicle which is not suitable to be tested in the roller brake tester.

At the first MoT the tester will ask for the weight. I was specifically asked to provide the weight when I booked the first test. I'll check with my mate from VOSA when I next see him to see if things have changed,but that's what he confirmed last time I asked.
