Blue's winter refit

Post by Blue »

Ok. here's a bit of what I've been up to. Had a very lucky find on US ebay, another pair of 11x15 slot mags, same as the ones I have my slicks on. So I whacked on a pair of 29 x15.50 Hoosier pro street radials and chucked 'em on. Looks just right now really happy with it. While I had the motor out , I wanted to freshen up the engine bay as it looked a bit tired, and the inner wings had whacking great holes in 'em from the fenderwell headers I had years ago. I had a pair of fibreglass inner wings made from a good set of originals, so they went in. Also ended up doing a bit of metal trimming here and there as you do, got a total of 35lb off the nose in the end. So the bay is now all in primer and ready for topcoat, hopefully that's happening tomorrow night, then I can finally crack on and get the whole thing back together.

Looking good as usual, nice work on lightening the head light buckets, another 35lb's is a good achievement.

Even without the motor in, stance looks spot on :thumbright:
