Is this Paul Batemans Satellite before it became dark blue? If it is I remember a later owner(Steve Withers I think ) racing Whits Charger on the "new" A3 at Esher one night. I think the Charger won that night if memory serves me well but it was a long time ago and memory fades with age.

No wonder the front end got creamed with those crossply's on. I'm amazed at how you pold boy's drove with them tyres on. I once bought a Viva with crossply's on. Only drove it a couple of miles and swopped them over for radials. Car drove twice as good.

Andy, Paul Unglass owned this satellite in the mid 80s. He sold it to Tony Jarvis [who still owns Marks T/A Challenger i think?] it was yellow tubed pro street look last time i saw it.

Pete,
I think the yellow Satellite you mentioned was my old car(HYE874N)I have seen it on here a couple of times. This blue satellite was owned by Paul Bateman around1980. It was a 318 before Paul put a 440 in it and repainted it in the dark blue. I think he sold it to Steve Withers but I lost track of it after that.

Thanks Rob, This was my old car(one digit out after 30 years is not too bad!) It was a 273 satellite when I owned it. It was a California car and totally rust free. I think Mr RUNNER had a picture of it at the pod in its original condition circa 1980
