Help

Why does the spell checker not work? i need to type a letter and i need a spell checker i was going to use the one hear but its not working.

Is there anything in windows XP i can use to type and compose a letter that will also check my spelling? i have never used a PC as a word procesor so i do not know what to do? cheers.

Go into microsoft works and click on word prossesor it has a spell checker

It is working, make sure the check box next to spell check is ticked.

It no longer works for me TyreFryer :evil: i did a pc cleanup last night a Defrag of the drive and cleared all my Cookies etc,so that could have caused this? everything else works though :?

I will try that Microsoft work thanks.I dont think i have it on my PC? i will go and look cheers.

I do not have the Microsoft Works,so i did it the old fashioned way with a dictionary,i turned of my Computer and re-Booted it and the Spellchecker now works :thumbright: but now i have no Audio on my PC :banghead: :D how strange :? i will try another re-boot.

What program are you using to type your letter Tony? Surely it's Microsoft Word, or similar? Word has its own spellcheck....

I just composed it using Outlook ex-pres and then when i was happy with it i wrote on to paper by hand ;) i do not have the MS works installed on my PC.

You should still be able to use spellcheck in Outlook/Outlook Express - when you've typed your message click on Tools at the top, then Spelling.

It will go thru your letter and prompt you on any mistakes :thumbright:

Doesnt do grammar tho :roll:
