904 issue

3 speed auto on the column. when my car is in park and i rev the engine it tries to reverse so i have to leave it in neutral all the time. I have readjusted the the column shift as per the manual but it has made no difference. Does anyone now what the problem is.

you need to disconnect the linkage completly off the gearbox just leave the arm on the trans manualy selct park and then rock the car back and forth to check its in park then start the car and check it does not now try to reverse, if it does you have an internal fault, hope you follow what i mean,
