Feel Good Factor

Post by Steve Chapman »

Just been out in the car today and im chuffed to bits. Over Christmas we were invited to some friends of ours , sat in the corner was there 15 year old Autistic son buried in a stack of old Classic American mags.I didnt know he was into Yanks i asked his dad, yes he,s mad on em at the moment. I spent quite a lot of the evening talking to Ricky about the cars in the mags and i was surprised just how much he knew about them. Anyway to cut a long story short i offered to take him out for a spin when the weather got a bit better. Today was the day. Ricky was thrilled to bits and was asking loads of questions while we were tooling about. We had a run around the countryside around here for about an hour. His mam and dad were over the moon id turned up . They were pleased for Ricky . The happiest was me , to give a lad the best day of his life and to see his grin was a fantastic feeling.

It was an absolute pleasure to do it, i dont know that much about Autismn, from what i can gather Autistic sufferers tend to focus on one subject at a time and get totally enthralled in it. Yanks are Rickys interest at the moment ,thatll probabley change to something else in time. but for now he can tell all his pals at his school tommororw all about it. He was swimming for his school on Saturday at a swimming gala for kids with difficultys and did well in his events,he told me he is aiming for the 2012 Paralympics. Hope he makes it. For now he can have his memory of a blast in some Mopar muscle.

MOPAR - Move Over Power Arriving Rapidly

Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My Mopar upon you
