Well after god knows how many months, new back rims finally arrived. In the years of cars & bikes, this is the 1st time I have ever bought a new set of wheels.

Also picked up a set of MT Sportsman Pros for £200 & almost new, still got the pimples, so well happy.

Also got another alternator, to replace the last dodgy unit, hopefully this MSD unit will do a better job ? Well, I bloody hope so, considering what they charge ! no pun intended

Not sure when I will fit this lot yet, few jobs to sort around the house.

what size are they and what size tyres are you using.

14 x 15 x 4"BS, M/Thompson Sportsman Pros 33" x 21.5 x 15, nice & sticky, Sure hardness is around 50, so fairly close to a slick

Fixed the porche door & back gate yesterday, so more brownie points in the bag

Nice rim's those Mark, We fitted the none beadlock versions on the roadrunner, and matching fronts, they look good

Well fitted the tyres to the new wheels this evening. Much better experience than the last set I fitted. Really easy, no tyre levers, no fighting, need to whip round the garage and stick some air in them.

So the pimply faced kid at Kwik Fit can relax for now

Well as the weather was great this weekend, finally manged to get off my fat arse & do some work.

Got a small oil leak, which is no bid deal, except it works it way onto the blower belt & gets slung every where !

So stripped the car down to fit new crank & Cam seals in the Jesel & this is where I thought it was coming from ? Well say thought, as seals looked OK. As it was stripped down, fitted new ones anyway & also new belt as the old one was pretty saturated in Oil.

Worse job was removing the damper followed by the even harder task of removing the bottom tooth pulley





Also removed the old Alternator & started to fit the new unit. As usual, replacement doesn't fit, even though it was for the same model car as the previous one


Also modifying alternator pulley, as not happy with the depth of belt, no big deal & most likely would of been OK, just being a bit cautious, after all the alternator belts I've been going through

While in the mood, thought would give the girl a pre season checkover

Valve lash was fine, couple of tweaks, but could of left alone really

Yeah, no probs mate, didn't re index the Cam, zeroed the balancer &used a clock & clock stand on intake. Glad, I did, because as I said the bottom tooth pulley was bitch to remove.

Your right, I do like Jesels, none of that worrying about chain length, chain tensioners,etc or the whine of a gear drive.... Got enough whine with the blower
