well you would certainly alter the balance of the car with a v8 up front
the idea of the 6 was better power to weight ratio...
surly if they stick an anvil in the front end its going to eat tyres wheel bearings n brakes.
they tested the v8 in a charger like body in 1970 and came to the conclusion that it was not great for roundy roundy racing, however i guess they have access to a whole range of thicker torsion bars these days, and better shocks.
