Not yet Stu. I have a nice pile of parts ready to bolt to the moter, but get this. My engine is in a 6 x 4 shed. To remove and replace the cam means i have to have the shed door open for access. The shed faces North, there is a northerly gale whipping straight off the ocean which is approx 100 metres from my house.
Guess how much salt i could add to the cam lube this morning..
might try tomorrow when the wind is from the south!
Meanwhile, should be gears and locker somewhere in Oregon ready to be shipped over for the diff rebuild.

Don't think so Stu
Engine is back in but not hooked up, I've got the old inlet manifold on the back seat of my Mundano so I can remove all the fittings to put on to the new one. Gave Miles a hand with the timing gear the other night as well.
Progress is slow in these parts, it's the way of life.

IT LIVES!!!!
Finally got it fired up and the cam broken in tonight.
With his usual timing Mustang mike rocked up just as I was about to time the dizzy up. After a couple of frustrating evenings mesin with hopelessly inaccessible exhaust to manifold bolts it was nice to be on the final straight.
Needless to say we got the dizzy 180 degrees out
, but once corrected she blasted into life. The next 20 minutes or so seemd to last forever as i reved her between 2-3,000rpm. Living in middle class suburbia, breaking a cam in is one way of narking the neighbours,
After the alotted time the motor droped into a mildly lopey idle even without dialling in the correct timing. managed to leave a plug lead party connected during the break in, once corrrected the motor sounds good.
pretty elated after 5 months off te road. Doubtless the weekend will be correcting water leaks and exhaust blows. Just hoping that the new set up delivers once i'm out on the road.
Will duly report back when i've road tested
Thanks to mike for his usual relaxed aproach to combat my hyper tension!
