This could be interesting especially if Dave B1 gets back in the groove and dont forget there's Rick Garret with his B1 604 Dodge Dart.............. :thumbright:

seems like a good idea, you can never trust used ally rods, B1,heads are notorious for getting porrus i would get them tested as well,

Tell ole Big Dog to expect a bill in the post. :D

The motor was pulled appart by Hauser not long ago , since then it has'nt had much if not any run time , from what i understand the motor has'nt been run much anyhows , so thinking these rods will be ok. :dontknow: ,

Hey Brutal, whats happening Buddy if the motor was run as it was and done a few easy passes I would say okay, but now you have stripped it you really need to know how many passes the rods have done before it gets put back together, perhaps Mark logged the passes they have on them if he put them in.

if your talkin the mtr was pulled apart at hausers when, gasser/steve first had it off mopar mark, YOUR WRONG, i was gonna have the mtr because i thought hauser had checked it over BUT NO, GEOFF NEVER EVEN HAD THE VALVE COVERS OFF THE MTR, THE BIG BILL WAS FOR A MUTTS NUTS POWERGLIDE THAT RAY NOW HAS, a crank evac pump, and a jessel belt drive and mounting it all up etc, not an engine check over,
did not want it after finding that out,

Why were'nt you interested just cos Hauser never tore it down , what difference would it of made? :?

Well , i think Hauser tore this down , does'nt look like this thing has been started , let alone run , those bearings are mint , look like they just came out the box , unless Hauser fitted these parts , vac pump etc , then i can't understand what the labour bill was for.

was bothered because off the hassles mark used to have with the rocker gear, dont think i ever saw that engine get down the track in anger, had loads off potential, and i was waitin to see it but never did,

geoff used to run a 500 B1 when we were in nappies so i reckoned if he had have checked it and give it the ok then i woulda bought it but he never so not interested,
indy mtrs dont seem to be as troublesome, and never had a prob with rockers on a hemi but B1,S notoriuos for it

Would'nt of put me off , would of got to the root of the problem & worked it. :? , don't think this motor was ever leaned on , which is why the rods shoul'nt be a concern.

Well , if the B1s are troublesome (oiling) , then it's gotta be the time to sit back & take a look what's goin on & do something about it.
