umm 8-10 aint too bad really!!!
i work in an accident repair centre, we did a complete respray on a p1 scooby and did a few car park dents not many and we charged 7500 for that and the thing is tiny and it was only the top half none of this in the boot underneath stuff.

at the end of the day too, cars which are done on a budget in a shed, ive seen some good ones but there neaver spot on.

and as for ive done bonnets and stuff befor!! a charger aint the best car to do ya first full respray on, bring on that arm pump when your putting that top coat on the try to keep that wet edge going.

just my 2 cents but fair play to you giving it a go :thumbright:

I wish I had thousands to spend on my car, but I've got a family and a mortgage to pay. I'll be in the same boat as you mate. I want a good car that people will admire, but I've got to be realistic. That's part of the reason why I've done my engine rebuild myself, using a lot of second hand parts. People advised me to go for a crate motor, but part of me wanted to say I'd built my own engine, and part of me was doing it the cheap(!) way. I'm no expert, but I'm enjoying learning, and I get a great sense of satisfaction each time I complete a task. When it comes to the bodywork, I'll be calling on my mates to help me out as much as possible (which is what this club is meant to be about). I appreciate that some people want a show winner, and will spend what ever it takes. Good on you that you can afford it. Me, I'd like a show winner, but my budget has to account for keeping a roof over my family's head. As long as I'm satisfied with the results that's all that matters...

Well from a purely high level, simplistic point of view, thats obvious. Time is a commodity no one ever sees. You won't have to pay for anyone else's and won't allow for yours (metal work plus prep plus paint). :D

Best of British to ya, I couldn't (and wouldn't) paint a car for toffee, and certainly not one with panels the size of a Charger. Should look fantastic in that blue. Justin Fox's car was viper blue and it looked the mutts. Especially with the white vinyl roof and bb stripe.
