Fuel Sender removal/fitting

Not too sure where fuel system (non carb) queries go, so here goes.....

Is it possible/easy enough to remove the fuel tank float / sender assy with the tank in situ (69 B-bod)?

Exhaust & shocks are off.

FSM just says ’remove with tool C----‘.

Or does the tank need to be lowered to give more room?

First make sure that the tank is nearly empty !!!!! jack up back end and disconect fuel hose clip hose and electric if you look with the aid of a torch you will see some small lugs sticking up tap GENTLY with screwdriver and hammer anti clockwise locking lug will turn about 90% take that off and wiggle sender unit out with a twist to get float out as they say replacement it reversal of above hope this helps you do not have to lower tank but it might help !!also make sure lugs in sender fit in cutouts in tank and make sure rubber seal fits OK

yep what john says , also be carefull you don't knock the sock filiter off the end of the pick up , if you still have one on there ....
other wise you will need to take the tank off to get it out !! don't ask

don't do it until you are sure you have anew seal and it is the correct one

Mopar seals are a thick rubber that usually can be re-used. I think they are all the same size too.

Yea used mine several times but make sure everything is clean an a bit of blue hylomar is will snug it down to seal
