Cleaning alloy parts

Anybody got any ideas what you can use to clean alloy bits with, with the least amount of effort as possible.
Got a Holley carb I'd like to brighten up abit, and some brackets under the bonnet.

Soda blasting.

Just had some Etype carbs back that had this treatment and they look like new.

Not much help really but I want to buy a soda blaster but nobody returns my emails.
