Free Mov to Wav convertor
I need to convert a MOV vid file to WMV to get the size down for YouTube. I've tried a few "free" programs. 1st one only converted half the file due to it being a trial version. 2nd and 3rd ones did it all but with a watermark. So has anyone found a free download to do this conversion? (I heard a great idea on my Oz mopar board, after videoing just vid the ground for the same time as the vid clip then use the half a video download, sweet!)
Anyway, thanks for any ideas or advice. It's me mate's 408 stroker small block Valiant AP6 at Warwick Drags last weekend if you're interested.......

I might be talking cobblers here, Kev, because I don't really know what I did at the time but it worked...
I already had a freebie program called "Switch" (which is, I think, an Aus site as it happens.) which is for music files, then I downloaded a program called Prism. (Listed as NCH in my program listings.) I also had Zillatube downloaded.
Anyhoo, (Here comes the science bit...) I was farting about trying to convert files to WMV from You Tube with zilla tube, had switch open and suddenly it opened Prism. Then it kept telling me I needed extra bits and kept downloading them, then all of a sudden, I had a WMV files! lasted for ages before it expired.
So... No idea how the hell I did it or how it worked, but it might help. Or it might not.
Either way, you're welcome!

Hello mate, I use this for downloading and also converting files to put on phone etc I have used it for a couple of years now with no problems.
http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/ its not a trial version and auto updates if you want

Downloaded Guy's one and it failed to convert anything saying it had some sort of Codec failure. This didn't happen with the other ones with watermarks etc. Now do I use up my download further by using Derek's one which could possibly end up watermarked......
