440 exhaust manifolds question
My charger has different type of exhauast connection on each side. One is a flat flange that takes a gasket, the other side is a sort of ball end with flared exhaust and loose flange connection ( can be adjusted for angle a little)
anyone know what type it should have? car is a R/T

im stupid , it only took 2 mins to find the answer , its a 1970 so if all is correct ( according to my book) all 1970 440ci chargers ( except triple 2 barrel equiped cars) use the same manifolds :-
Passenger side part no 2899968
Drivers side part no 2951864
the tripple 2 barrel cars use the same drivers side manifold but a different passenger side one , part no 2951864.
hope this helps

Hi Will, all 68 to 71 hipo manifolds are flat flanged. The ball and socket set up is off a later model, probably 73 on, Cheers dude,Jon
well at least i only need one. The RH one. I want to get it sorted as i would like to get a new system made up for the car sometime so its now or never.
seen some on ebay but none with that part number
<a href="http://search.ebay.com/mopar-manifold-s ... ageZsearch"> my search terms </a>
i guess as long as i get a flange type one and it kicks up like my LH one does, i should be ok?

Hi again Wil, 70 and 71 r/h manifolds are almost impossible to find even in the US. When they turn up its normally a pair, and they sell for around $250, and shipping them is gonna be pricey. A cheaper option is probably a 68 to 69. Cheers Dude, from Jon.
