Good stuff.
Rad cap is usually about 16lbs. Hemis tend to run lower ones.

All you need to do now is to sort the brakes out - I bet you will soon want discs on it once you start to leather it

Yes Pete, I'm on the hunt for a new master cylinder right now (tell me if anyone has a new one kicking about). Discs might be good, but I drive new cars every day and want to keep the Dodge original and authentic..........if slightly scary...

Don't fill the radiator right up to the top, the level is normally a few inches below the cap to allow for expansion.

Unless you fit a small expansion tank on the side of the radiator.

As said , look into a higher lb cap , had this problem before when i was running a 16lb stant cap , changed it out for a 20lb & seems ok , get a few miles on the motor first , could be spiking in temp due to the new rebuild , gonna be a bit tight till the rings bed in.

Thanks to everyone for their offers of advice and for sending the odd part my way. Will settle up etc asap this week when i get chance to see if they fit etc. In the meantime am awaiting quotes for the new tyres so I can make it look like this:

Incidentally I'm not buying genuine redline tyres because they cost more each than my entire daily driver Mercedes cost to buy and Mot. Instead I have a mate who has just started this business which might be of use to other MMA members? Contact Ant and tell him I sent ya....

In the garage keeping dry until we get around to waxoyl injecting her. This wknd might start looking at the dash gauges.
