I ripped down my spare notebook today to replace the palmrest as the intergrated Mouse Pad was faulty. Not sure how to disassemble all this, I removed both the Hardrive and RAM's and later found that I need not have. Once all back together I tried to start the machine, the indicators come on for a short time, doesn't boot but shuts down....
Is this because the Battery is flat not having been used for about 6 months OR is it because I have removed the above devices?
Hope someone can advise / help
Thanks

That's nailed it Tank - re-seat the RAM - job done
.....Not
It would appear now that the Touch pad is not working now, and can only see an USB mouse....It is definately connected, the PC isnt seeing the Hardware.
Chip, perhpas you are right, buy another one...
Thanks all
