Another brake question

Post by Anonymous »

Dont know it i have made a mistake or not.

I drilled new holes through my bulkhead, pedal box bracket thing and the thick metal plate, to bolt my new power master cylinder on the car.
No probs there.

Then i adjusted the lenghth of the push rod to the leval i wanted the pedal.
So at the moment the pushrod comes out of the power master cylinder and bolts to the pedal.

Is this ok or should i have one of them pivot thingys?

Saw 70rtse's Charger today and he has one of the pivot things bolted to the pedal box bracket, so it joind the pedal and cylinder together?

Now is my way ok or wrong? :help:

Sorry im crap at explaning things.

Power brakes used the bell crank thing and mounted higher up the bulkhead than the manual master cylinder. I have posted diagrams on here many times showing this.
But now you have done it this way just leave it where it is as long as the booster is not stopping the valve cover coming off the engine.
