Weather usually holds me up as I don't have a garage.
The slightest hint of rain and I've had it. The day's ruined. :banghead:
Still...... better weather's on it's way now hopefully [-o< so should start getting things done now, thanks for asking mate :)

Can't quite make out the name of the steel company.

April update ....

Car's up at a friends workshop now. We're rebuilding the engine just to give it a freshen-up. I'll have a better one next year I hope.
Sadly funds don't allow it at this moment in time :( So low compression smog status will have to do for now
Just waiting on some new valves as the exhaust side looked abit pooh at the base of the stem. :working:
I'm having the welding sorted out on it properly too in the places where the last tosspot never did it right. (yeah thats most of it #-o )
I'm up there again tomorrow so hopefully I'll have a few more pics for you.....

To be honest Si, once the crappy welding is sorted, then I can concentrate on the engine & running gear etc. and start putting it all back together.
I've got 99% of the stuff I need. I've even sorted a rear screen ( with alittle help from Neil - Cheers mate :thumbright: )

I'll see how money goes, but I doubt if it'll be out finished this year. If I do, then it won't be in paint, but then again I guess it would be nice if I could run it up this year to get the teething problems out the way ready for next year :-k

Pics from the other day.
Painted the engine and put it all together temporarily so's it looked nice.
My mate Tim who owns the workshop where the car is, was having a meet down there, so we tidied it up for "show" purposes.
Just waiting for some new valves to get here from the states then the build can continue :thumbright:

The old valves looked abit knackered at the base on the exhaust valves. Just my luck I'd re-use them and a head would break off during the run up and knacker the whole engine #-o

Jules, that colour looks like the one I'm after for my Challenger engine. What shade is it and where did you get it from?

Martin, it's Chrysler blue. I got it from real steel. Couple of rattle cans should do the trick ;)

Hey Jules, don't forget the head bolts mate or you'll find your compression a bit low :geek:

Seriously though, great to see some progress! :thumbright:
