Caliper hitting sway bar
I'm putting the disc brake set up from a 71 b-body onto a 69 charger. I've now read that the caliper will interfere will the sway bar, is this true ?
Has anyone else fitted later B-body discs onto their 68/9 car that has a sway bar ? Also heard people swap the spindles side to side so the calpier is at the back, but also read this is a no no.
Everthing about swapping disc brakes from later cars seems to contradict.
Anyone have any ideas ????

I had the same problem until I posted the thread. I just swaped the gear from one side to the other.
I had my caliper at 10o'clock on the drivers side, then when I realised it Bananarama! the sway bar I just took it all off and mounted the whole set up on the other side.
Hope this helps.

Yes the 1970-on B and E calipers are exactly the same.
Mother Mopar fitted calipers in the forward position but the sway bars were mounted differently.
There is no problem fitting the brakes the other way around so that the calipers are at the rear. Most manufacturers do it this way around anyway. It makes no difference.
