Non starter.
Got a problem starting my motor?. its a 440 stroked to 543, 12.1 compression, tried two different mini starters with no avail, what good mini starter should I go for. Thanks for any input.
Think you've gotta go back to basics.
Does the motor spin OK with a breaker bar?
Are the conections to starter/solinoid all tight & up to par?
Do the starter motors you're using require the backing plate for correct engagement?
Does the motor spin with the plugs out?
4.5 stroke is a big ole motor , clearance Ok between rods & block?
Piston to valve clearance?
Correct valve timing?
Sorry for the dumb questions , can you post any more info?

Engine build is good.It has two kill switches, one out back and one next to drivers seat. New starter wire through out, soft copper, engine earth front and back to roll cage. motor spins fine with no plugs in. 70amp alternator wired right. engine is solid mounted. bulk head live post is the last join to starter. I think Brutus that one of the starters is your old one, my brother Jim bought your old engine of Jerry, thats the one I have in it know.

Its a dodge coronet 500, came with a 318 polly, got bored after about 2 years of turn key daily driver. stroked 440, 4/56 gears with spool, full cage all steel, mini tubed, 12x15 out back 5x15 up front. Still hoping to drive it on the street!!!!!!!. There are a few more bits and pieces on it, but it would be like reading a catalogue from Summit. Hope to see you all at Brooklands.
Well Nick's 500 passed the MOT today the tester had to go out with him for a brake test as he has a spool and couldn't do it on the rolling road, very funny as only drove it out the garage to the testers about 200 yards after fitting new axle, suspension, steering,motor(543ci),Trans,roll cage basically a totally different car, well chuffed should be at Krispys on Sunday

Petrol is for washing parts, Alcohol is for drinking, Nitro is for racing!!!
