I bet you are glad you stuck with the original Burnt Orange now, it looks absolutely sensational!

Thanks for all the comments guy's much appreciated. :thumbright:

Been over to Preston today to attempt to register... Only to find my cover note had gone out of date. No worries, there sending a new one out in the post.

Wants running round local to start with before I go further afield. But so far everything seems fine. We had a fuel vaporising issue but been resolved now.

The flywheel cover which is plastic has melted. So we've had to take it off :? Do think the headers are getting too hot?

Spent a bit more time on the car recently. I feel like tinkering with it more these day's now it usable! And even though it isn't finished, getting it past the registration stage seems to be a big hurdle jumped. And now the little things that didn't seem so important are given attention and the whole car is coming together nicely!

The air grabber isn't functioning properly yet, but I think it's the actuator and so far haven't ordered one. But it's listed near the top of my wish list.

Done some painting inside and tidied up the interior the best I can for now, need a drivers side kick panal and the seats need recovering. But no one can begin to understand how lucky I feel actually having those tomb stone seats in my car! Big thanks again to Nick for selling them to me so cheap. :thumbright:

We had a new garage front door fitted whilst the car was in Robbo's place. All remote operated roller shutter door. Old doors were two seperate doors had too enter garage from one side or other. O.k for 2 small cars but not one big one.:D Wasnt easy with the Runner. Makes life much easier with having awkward visability coupled with non power steering. :D

I'm still out of work with none to very little signs of improvement (I know same everywhere), so I've got to resist the temptation to spend too much money at the moment. I do want to take the car to the Nats this year but maybe I'll bring it down on a trailer. It will work out much cheaper with my truck running on LPG.

The wood rimmed streering wheel, pistol grip and other things I need will just have to wait. In the meantime I will use it as much as I can and enjoy it. :thumbright:

Here's some comparison shots of the interior
