Heh, Kate's got a (slightly) later Corrola. You can get gasket & headbolt kits for the Toymotas reasonably cheaply (there's a mail order place that does them cheaper than dealer price, can't remember where off the top of my head though). Only thing to watch for is weather the head needs a skim, and if it's been done before or not - if it does and it has been you might have to go find one from the junkyard (Kate's car is about 30% junkyard content now :D) as I don't think they have enough 'meat' on them to allow for lots of machining.

Hope that helps!

Oh yeah, changing the gasket itsself isn't an ordeal, Haynes manual instructions should be enough to do it from.

Its worth working out how to do this yourself (with help if needed ;)), since the procedure is pretty much the same on all OHC 4 pots it'll come in handy in the future!
