440 rb block number advice please

No there should be an actual date cast into the block. Maybe to the left of that number? Somewhere anyway.

Should be on left side of engine which is where you are looking anyway. It should look like the upper number in this photo.

unable to see another number at the moment,headers right in the way,be a trip to a garage & up on the ramps for a proper look :roll:
