mk2 cortina with mopar power

Post by Anonymous »

Not posted for a while, since i sold the barracuda. But decided to build something a bit different. Some of you won't like it but tough :D
Started out as a mot able mk2 cortina 2dr 1300 deluxe but not anymore. Built a strong 360 for it, 9 inch rear, fully caged, box chassis. A long way off yet but will be worth it. :D

Trying to do as much as I can myself. built all chassis myself and all four link brackets and bars. cut loads of metal work out of the car to get everything in. Looking at 70's paint work with a lace roof and flake. Engine is about 12 - 1 comp, forged rods, ported x-heads, got a big cam in there to utilise tunnel ram cant remember specs, dual 390's. need to finish cage off and start filling the holes in. Sort front suspension out as using a mustang 2 set up then bodywork.

Yep, that gets the thumbs up from me too...I'd would have been tempted to go for for the stock look, but the tunnel ram but the kibosh on that! ;)
