Think you've answered you're own question. :D

Disconnect high pressure hose from steering box & stick it in a bucket , remove coil lead , crank her over & see what you got , keep the pump full with fluid.

I rebuilt my pump last night and didn't bleed it. Just filled it up, started the engine and turned the steering wheel from lock to lock. After that I had to top it up again but I used it for work today and it's still full. No more leaks :D

Have a look here.

It will be a Saginaw or a Federal pump. The rebuild kits for the two Saginaw pumps are different so you need to be sure which one you have.

Is your pump a Federal?
Might be best to email PS Kits and attach a few pictures of your pump.

Looks like the Federal pump, with a late Saginaw front pulley to me...

But you're probably right - best thing I can do is send them a photo or two and see if they can ID it and go from there.

Why are things never simple!

because its a mopar!!!!!
ticking away the moments that make up a dull day, you fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.

no car - buts its gotta be a mopar!
