1973 Steering Sleeves and Centre Link Finish

Post by TyreFryer »

Anybody know how the steering sleeves and in particular, centre link on my 73 Challenger should be finished? Would it be semi-gloss black or unpainted (cast iron paint)?

On earlier cars its natural/raw/cast iron paint mate. Not totally sure for 73's but would have thought it would be the same.

Thanks Clive, yes it seems unpainted is the right finish so I've painted it new cast iron.

Yes it's all very fascinating Richard. :)

Just a tidy up really Clive, I won't be parking it next to your Charger in the show and shine.

Martin, can we have a clear picture of those slings please? They wouldn't by any chance be the ones I lent grandpa Ivor would they? If they are they need testing :D
