Went there last year after being in Oz for 2 weeks. Joined Queensland Chrysler Association. Going back after a year was way cool as I know a bunch of the QCA guys and their cars. Top day of race and show. 130 car cut off on track, prebooked, online and by phone, no places available on the day. All Chryslers from stock /6 up to a ProStock Sumfink. All cars teched, so no delays on the track. Practice runs all morning then eliminations in several classes in the afternoon. All done by 4pm. And the weather was ace, even had to grab some QCA sunscreen. :thumbright:
Here's the car of the show for me. First AWB in OZ. My buddies Dave and Kel built it after getting the AWB DVD from the speccy bloke in the US. "Finished" the day before, it only has a mild 440 with a stock 8 3/4, so no runs on the track. Plans are for a wedge with cross ram etc. 11s are the plan as going 10s opens up a whole can of ANDRA tech worms....A way to go with the bodywork and paint, but awesome to see it rumbling round the show!!! People either "got it" or were flumoxxed!

Great stuff Kev, love it that some people just didn't get the AWB Dart...I can't see what the problem is with the Dart going tens, surely it's just a cage, belts, extinguisher and sorted?

Dunno what the guy was thinking with the lowered, lambo door VG coupe, I thought they were quite desirable in Oz?...
