70 Sport Satellite

The amount of tin worm in my car is rapidly approaching the stage where it desperately needs restoring (bottom of both screens is disappearing), and I have been talking and pondering over it for a while now, so I have decided to bite the bullet and go for it. Have been looking at several paint schemes and colors and was thinking about a period race car look, but have decided to go for the original color which was B5 blue. As it is a genuine 1970 Sport Satellite, and they seem to be rare on that particular year, I think it should be as it should be (apart from the wheels, the Vectors are staying 8-) ).

Before I do the resto job I wanted some proper Photo's of her as she is, so on Sunday I cheekily asked Latil's lad Jay if he fancied earning a few ££ and taking some shots for me. He was kind enough to oblige so here they are.

B5 - excellent choice mate. You just HAVE to ditch the General Lee livery. Keep the progress pics coming :thumbright:

I know mate. they were only put on in 2005 to promote my limo business, and the car rapidly became the sole earning car in the business. That came to an end when I killed the engine in late 2007 so now there's no reason to keep her like it. They don't do her any justice at all.

My brother is building me a 20 x 16 foot garage at the bottom of the garden specifically for the job. once that is done, the car goes in, and the tear-down begins. 8-) Pics will be taken at every stage so a new thread will be started in "The Workshop" section for that.
