Bugger.
Booked to see "Deep Purple" at the Hammersmith Apollo (it will ALWAYS be the Odeon to me) on the Saturday evening some time ago; and yes, you have guessed it, it clashes with the Classic & Sports car show at the NEC in November.
I may have 2 standing tickets for Purple if anyone is interested.
Pete Walton - will you be busy painting your gutters or would you consider going?

Why can't you do both Pete?
Or I could bring my old vinyl copy of Shades and a Dancette record player to the show!
Oh and for Dave....

Easy decision for me,
I don't do heavy Rock.
I don't do classic car shows.
I've got plastic guttering.
Looks like I've got a free weekend!

Deep Purple Pete!!
I was lucky to see them and Uriah Heep in one evening in the early 90's in South Africa, after the ban was lifted.

Rob, in those days bands from abroad had a ban against SA, due to all the 'apartheid' business. Which all changed when Mandela came into power. Suddenly everybody came to tour, I saw ZZTop as well then
