Interestingly, only 2 tenths seperating 2nd to 5th spot, though it would be good if all 'racers' could be encouraged to stick up their PB's to keep the league current? :thumbright:

Thanks for changing the thread title Dunc. :thumbright:

Ok , the way i see it is this , who gives a Bananarama! if the motor runs the #s on mtr or gas? , forgetting the $$ aspect , it's easier building a mtr to run the #s NA than it is to run the #s on spray , the one's who shy away are the one's who've had a bad experiance with nitrous or simply don't know how to tune it , i could build that 605" to run well into the 9s on mtr only , on ly problem being i use it on the road & also drive 240 miles round trip to get it to Shakey , could'nt do this if it was built to run 9s on mtr only , there's got to be a comprimise , the one's who run the #s on nitrous WITHOUT blowin Bananarama! up have obviously got a handle on it , much easier to pull a couple of plugs & change a few jets on a NA mtr , horses for courses , i have big respect for the heavier cars running good times as opposed to the light cars , Dunc for example (heavy car) , no disrespect but it ain't hard getting a light weight mtr running the #s. :?

Is running nitrous cheating? , no , just another way to gain some power (on a heavy mtr :D )

Power to weight ratio is what it is about and you've proved that(period)
Make it as light as the rest (without sticking it on a trailer) and i reckon you could be top of the board Brutal ;)

hey brutus calm down ;) i love it when any off the boys run good no,s sprayed or not it makes it all very interesting, but i disagree on makin an all mtr run the nos is easier, takes a lot off carefull parts selection and att to detail to get the combo right, an all mtr car has to get the business done at the shortend and still make enough hp to keep pullin at the big end, a gassed car can be below par at the start but haul it back at the top end due to the massive hp difference from the spray,

watch this space, ;)

Building engines for all motor & building engines for nitrous use are like chalk & cheese , two totally different animals , a nitrous built engine will always be a dog on motor only , possibly the reason why so many think the engine needs a boost as it's such a slug , far from it , imagine building a NA motor with 116/120 lobe sep . tight vertor , low CR , 100 quench , ring gaps the size of the Panama canal.....spray a well built NA motor & it's a question of time before a rebuild is on the cards as the tuning window tightens ten fold.

Times is times , just gotta respect it whichever way it's bein done.

Hey Dunc , what you got up yer sleeve?

Looks like the 17th and 18th RWUB. They said they might glue for the saturday night special.
Just hope the weather is OK for that weekend.
