Power steering pump

Post by Anonymous »

Having a bit of bother with my power steering pump. Firstly, it does need replacing, so if anyone has one then please stick your hand in the air so we can avoid anothe 5 page thread!

Basically, the neck is damaged, it looks like someone has biffed it whilst the cap was off at some point. I don't want to bodge it, so I know I need to replace it. However, I thought that this would explain the fact that the unit was permanantly covered in a 1/4" of oil and grime, but it actually seems like it is spitting out a vent hole in the cap. I checked the level, which did need topping up, and made sure it was to the right level when hot, but is still seems to be (PLEASE STOP SWEARING!!!) oil.

Any ideas, or better still has anyone got a nice servicable one they could sell me?
