valeting 20-30 cars a day aint exactly easy
walking around from 9-6 for coldseal mile after mile

We reply to every applicant to tell them if they have an interview or not.
After the interviews we decide if any of the applicants were suitable.
If we have not found the person we want we let all the applicants know they have been unsuccessful but we will be advertising the job again if they want another try. We also offer feedback so they can talk about why they were not successful which will give them a chance to finding employment in the future.
If we do find the guy we want we still offer feedback to the rest.
We don't HAVE to do any of this but I think any responsible employer (or anyone with a bit of humanity) should.
i applied for a job last year and the advertisement stated that if you hadn't heard from them within 28 days to assume you were unsuccessful in your application, coming up to 4 weeks i decided to call the company on the off-chance, the hr department informed me that they had written to me to invite me for an interview (i never received this letter so i can only presume one of tony's mates disposed of it for me

so simon if i was you i would keep contacting them to see when your interview is
dave credit to you and your company for taking a professional and courteous attitude to your interview process

p.s sorry for waffling on a bit

ticking away the moments that make up a dull day, you fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.

You will be amazed Si how many people think that it is an easy job before they come to do delivery's and then they can not hack it! most leave within a month, young lads and all that are supposed to be fit?
I should calm down as i no longer work there![]()
Tony I have recently had several different posties but the young female postie in shorts was a pleasant change. She did only last a month but looked very fit to me, I even looked forward to the junk mail

Si NOT a good idea to go in Monday and shout at them. They may have shafted you but then again they may have just delayed the interview. Did you not phone them up again to ask what was happening since your previous phone call ? If you really want to work at this place it's best to keep on good terms with them for any future vacancies. It took me 3 years and 3 yearly interviews to get made up from contractor to employee at a firm I had worked at previously for 25 years !!!

I had to bit my lip many times when I wanted a rant but glad I did, as it came good in the end. Talk to them nicely and good luck
