Well done that PR department. :D
Quick update.
Drivers side floor now welded in next friday passenger floor and removeable tunnel.
Saturday refitt the engine with the correct box and fitt the front plate brackets.
That will allow me to finalise the steering rack position and see how much I have to modify the headers as they were from an A bod.
Apart from a few holes in the baulkhead that will be the iron fighting all done.
I am then looking forward to actually doing some finishing jobs.
Picking up trackside accomadation for next year tommorow that will be fun.

Floor in both sides just a few fillets, fitt the removeable tunnel and apart from the steering wheel and column the inside is ready to paint and refitt.
Engine went in again this time with the corect box and it fitted fine.
The best news is the new shocks with 450 lbs springs worked fine so it sits at the corect ride hieght whoopie.
Next big thing is sort out the rack and pinion steering which will fit in front of the oil pan.
Feels like we made some real progress.
But damn it was cold, wet and miserable but it does not seem to matter as much when it goes to plan.
Big thanks to Cav and James for there help today both stayed much later than they should sorries ladies.

Update Stardate dec 2009.
Sorted out the mini K frame and steering support toady.
the idea is to stiffen the new lower A frame mounts and support the steering rack.
the first picture is the components assembled on the bench, we then offered them up and tack welded them in situ to allow for any small intolerances, we then removed it and welded it on the bench.
the welding was done by wiggle arse mark :thumbright:
As you can see from the pictures, it is forward mounted and that means the steering column (tube) will miss the headers and starter motor.
Now I have the dimensions to make the steering arms and steering column and fit the removable wheel.
It will certainly make moving the old girl easier.
Then I can strip it all down again, clean up all the components and get them plated and the engine bay and intierior can be repainted.
