Well spotted Dunc 8-)
The spindles and brake assemblies are XJ6 jag as actually recomended by you in an earlier post.
As you probably know the the steering rack and hence arms are rear mounted and as we have dialed in a lot of castor angle so when you push the car backwards the wheels go all boss-eyed and make it near impossible to move the car.
So the bar is a temporary link tieing the jag steering arms together allowing us to keep the wheels in line when moving the car about it will obviusly be removed when I fit the new arms.

Great day at the salt mine today steering is in and sorted, just a couple of steering column brackets to fabricate and will have completed the steering and suspension modification the rest is pretty straightfortward after this.
the pictures show the new steering arms and the rack and pinion steering rods connected.
The first picture is a guess the arse competition :D

How cool is this work by Graham Durbridge.
This Saturday is the final fitting day for the car tunnel to finish and a few holes to fill in the baulkhead then it is to bee stripped down engine, gearbox, axle out ready for paint.
Axle is to be checked with new seals and a 1350 pimion fitted.
Final assembly engine and box new prop in time to refitt after repainting the areas we have worked on.
God this is a marathon.
