TTI headers on
Valve covers on
Radiator in
MSD ignition in

Just got to make an air filter, change plug leads then set timing and boost.

Looks good , bet you can't wait to drive it. :D

Do you need to run a steel crank when using a blower? , or i spose it depends on boost? , just wondering how long the crank snout will last when using cast crank.

Thanks Adam .... yeah can`t wait

Was gonna start at 5 - 6 psi boost as I don`t want to overload it

Generally speaking with a blown engine you produce power lower down the rev range so if it`s set right and not over revved shouldn`t put any undo strain on the bottom end ... That`s the theory anyway.

What carbs are you using? , did you purchase them complete with blower? , & who modified them for you?

I like the way you try different combos , all interesting stuff.

EDIT , missed the page where you bought the blower.

Yep carbs were on there ... making a new filter carrier though

One of the biggest problems so far is the carbs are so high up in the air and right at the back of the engine bay the throttle linkage is at an extreme angle .... just hope the cable stays together

John - you not tempted to go with a throttle rod linkage rather than cable?

Made the air filter by sandwiching 2 sheets of 2 mm alli plate between the filter element ... simple and effective

Timing done

Fuel pressure set up to 6.5 psi

Blower set to 6 psi

Runs nice, temperature good

Ready to rock n roll

well you can,t beat that for service, i remember him running a 383 in a duster iron heads mech cam 650 carb and that went 10.30s similar weight to yours so you must be on for a 9 ;)
