Those who run this club do a great job.
Connected needs to be on paper to reach the masses and be readable on my bog.
Matt is right. Variable subscription rates will strangle some aspects of the club, and be an admin headache for someone. I note that the people who selflessly give up their time administering this club (it doesnt happen on its own you know) are not the ones moaning. Given the time/effort/cost to these people they must wonder why they bother with some of these threads.
£27 against the cost of running a mopar ? Some people have got the wrong hobby.
Nail and head are springing to mind here. Why is it when you read through threads like this, some one always post what you wanted to say,but put it better? :

Ebooks, etc will get a lot more popular for sure, but books, magazines, newspapers will always be part of life. There's something tactile about 'em you just can't get with electronics.
I haven't got a Mopar anymore but when I did I was quite happy to pay the £27 just for the help that I got on the board, especially from people like Brutus, and many others, I don't post as much as I used to because I don't have a Mopar but i'm sure they'll be a time when I get another one so i'm quite happy to stick around on the board

Books in digital form, there's a bunch of readers out there already; Apple just launched the iPad this week with a view to doing this.
Magazines are already getting thinner and thinner as more companies push advertising budgets onto the web. Yes, paper will be around for a good while to come, but it'll end up being like buying vinyl is now - maybe in 20 years or so, maybe in 10.
Then again, perhaps society will collapse first and we'll all have to live in caves again ...
Well, I've stuck my neck out a bit further and put this very question to the members in the next (printed) edition of Connected, in the hope of getting some feedback.
I must admit, as an iphone user, I don't have a problem with reading stuff electronically if it's presented well enough, but I really do love leafing through back copies of magazines, sitting in front of the fire with a glass of something, I'm not convinced an e-book would be quite the same.
BUT being a big Apple fan, the iPad, could well be convinced otherwise!
Basically, what we want is what's best for the members and ultimately we are your humble servants!
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

Great!!! Another load of electronic nonsense that wont actually work. Does anything computer based actually work. If so, ive yet to find it!
I quite like the mag. It makes good light reading while on the lav and I was chuffed to bits when my lad was in there last year in his side piped buggy.

Correct, what you just typed in was watched by an Ompa Loompa through your Window and he wrote it down on Bog Roll. He then handed it onto his friend Percy the Pigeon who flew to Ivor and coo cooo'd till Ivor put down his Pipe and retrieved said letter. Realizing the importance of what you had wrote he then sent it in Morse Code to MatH who has been running around all night long writing what you typed in Felt Marker on every member's PC Screen.
How about you just name the things that are Computer based that you just dont understand, that would be a real reflection of what you meant.
