wheel type / backspacing problem
hi guys, got a bit of a problem with my wheels rubbing against the inner fender, i measured the backspacing at 3.5 inches and i think it should be 4 inches, what do you reckon? also if i were to replace the rear wheels, i cant seem to find the type anywhere on american racings site, or north hants w&t, they are listed on the sales invoice as pt no 8385765 cp 200
heres some pics of one, and the rub marks

You have the typical B body clearance issue there, it's a right pain, because you can't fill the wheel arch with wheel and tyre to the point where it looks good without jacking up the rear end or bashing the inner wheel well with a large hammer
I have 8 x 15s with 275 60 R 15 tyres on the back of my Runner and have plenty of clearance...now for the killer...these have 4 1/2 " backspacing.
Accurate measurement of backspacing can be an issue though, depending on the wheel manufacturer

thanks for the replys lads, i will have to think what i am gonna do, changing the wheels is gonna be very expensive, as if there discontinued i would have to buy a full set, air shocks is a possibility but my kybs are fairly new, might be able to get some longer shackels made, or go back to smaller tyres! rearranging the sheet metal mmm, cheap and efective but knowing my luck i would probably split or destroy something else

hi kev relocation is definetly the way forward, but time is the biggest problem and will have to be done later on, it was the wheel thing i needed some help on, as the depth of knowledge is tremendous on our board and as was stated the wheels i have are no longer available,[typical] so i will sort out a quick fix for now and sort it properly when i get back[hopefully ] from iraq.
p.s. phoned northhants w&t my wheels are obsolete by about ten years! 3.3/4 offset was standard, they can get custom daisy mags made with the required offset on a 6 to 8 week turn around but in alloy only.
