Hi Dunc, time is not on my side so its Satin black for this season, I have treated all the bare metal or replaced it and etched primed it so it's all solid and straight, it is going to be satin black for this year.
At the end of the season will get it stripped and painted proper.
It ain't going in the show and shine 8-)

Done away with the throttle cable early in the build after fiddling with the original last year and not being happy with it.
Decided to make a direct link with small rose joints and a rod.
Here is the inside bracket assembly which bolts directly through the inside of the bulkhead.
The throttle link arm is of sett 110 mm to line up with the carb and the foot plate is 50mm wide.
it will be spring loaded under the dash and also have the normal triple throttle springs on the carb.
The movement is 1:1 and it will move the throttle arm 60mm

Hi Ade, well it is finally going back together and i lost a couple of weeks being due to being ill.
Today we fitted the seat, finalized positions for the gages fitted the belt anchors and gear shifter so it is all good progress but there is shed loads to do.
The engine and drive train should be in for next weekend and it will be a big push the week after to connect up the fuel Nos and wiring.
Still waiting for the torque converter and cooling kit but they should be with me next week.
pop in mate if you are passing 07971802892.

A day out

The final piece of the puzzle was the wiring and had the offer of a painless switch panel from Pete W so decided to pick it up.
Phoned Pete and arranged to go down to the leafy town of Petworth early this morning.
Set the alarms and managed to get past Heathrow B4 the M25 turned into a car park and was soon flying through the Sussex downs.
On arriving I recalled that this was the little hamlet that you pass through to get to the Goodwood festival so parked up in the town sqaure belled Pete who was still walking the dogs.
Took a couple of pics and it was like stepping back to 1950 locals getting there papers from the Post office shops opening and draymen loading barrels into the basement of the local pub
