Urgent-Flex plate won't fit!

Just gone to fit my B&M flexplate (to balance the 360 with the torque converter) and it wont fit.
The bolts that fit the flex plate to the converter are 10" diameter on the plate and 11" on the converter. Where have I gone wrong?
B &M dont list a plate with 11" bolt hole

Can anyone tell me what diam the torque convertyer to flex plates usually are?

There are 2 sizes of factory flexplate that I have come across, and any B&M flexplate I have had has been drilled for both sizes, your plate only has 1 set of bolt holes? To answer your question I have never actually measured the bolt circle diameter of either plate.

Blue, i'm not sure what to do next. crane is sitting outside, engine built, i go to fit flex plate and it dont fit.
TCI advertise a dual bolt pattern flex plate. I guess that will do it. 3 week wait, there goes the NATs, gutted.

I thought they were all drilled for both bolt hole sizes too.

But I am also sure they don't make a converter with a 11 inch pattern. Did you not know you had an 11 inch pattern on the converter?

No Dave, I thought they came as a standard size as the B&M catalog doesnt provide any other diameter than 10". Therefore i assumed mine would fit. I feel sucha twat for not checking some weeks ago. I simply didnt know there were other diameter converters available.

is there enough metal to get a good engineering shop to re-drill the plate?

With more information i could have a good go at getting a flex plate here well inside 3 weeks.

Under a few other deadlines before the Nats so one more aint going to make no difference.

Would need all the measurements and couldn't promise anything till tuesday afternoon as it's 4th July weekend the USA is shut

I take it you haven't the option of drilling correct holes?? although without the correct gear that makes centering a little difficult

Cheers Will. TCI stock one prt number 102390.
If you enquire can you check that it absolutely will fit 11" (nearer 11 and 1/8" although they're called 11")
It needs to fit a 360 small block to a 904 transmission. The flex plate is assymetric to allow it to provide external balance.

I would re drill but theres simply no metal available. Believe me, i almost considered fabricating brackets to make it fit

I can get the TCI number you quoted me, ?86.25 or thereabouts

Would be here in about 10 days or sooner as i'm putting another stock order in.

Thanks James, that may end up as a back up plan. The reason I need the TCI plate is becouse it will allow me to use any (and the existing) torque conveter. The other option would be standard 360 plate AND matching 360 converter. Hopefully Will can get me the TCI item.
