Hi John, Yep it is on the list of to-do's which is actually getting shorter.
Fitted one of the lexan door windows.
The kit is set up to do away with the quarter light but as I am trying to keep the car looking original I have modified it and fitted a separate piece of lexan in the quarter light outer.
Ps John give us a ring need to ask a favour?

Ok Ok I meant from the Stands sorta thing
Well tonight the tech inspector visited and gave the car a thorough going over and we have to tidy a couple of the roll bar welds, fit 4 gussets and apart from a few things that need finishing like fluid levels, prop loop, and some wiring connections gave the car a thumbs up.
we need to get the car scrutineered at the first meeting and it will have a chassis tech cert for 8.5.

The three things we have to do that we were not aware of were.
Fit a small hoop to stop the shoulder harness slipping side ways.
Fitting a window door net
and the steering arm ball joints need to be the bolt through type with a retaining washer.
All the other points raised were on our to do list.
Overall not to bad for rank amateurs

OK sorted out the roll cage and it turned out to be a bit easier than we thought.
Also James sourced the frame work for the door nett from Andy Robinson.
For those that don't know the door net is there so that if the door comes off during a crash the drivers arms and any other appendages are restrained within the car.
The net is supported on a top and bottom small steel tubes, the top bar is pivoted behind the driver off the roll cage and the front of the top bar has a release clip part of which is welded to the underside of the top of the front hoop of the roll cage. This allows the assembly to drop down behind the seat to allow access.
The lower bar is held in place with two straps attached to the lower bar and the door bar.
Finally connected the trans cooling lines, that means that all the pipe connections are made and we can now run all the systems.
Also had to remove the old plastic keyed external kill switch and replace it with an all steel one with the turn off part permanently attached to the car.

OK guys the car is on the trailer and hitched ready to go to our testing location first thing in the morning.
We intend to set her on the race wheels, set the ride height which is easy now with coil overs front and rear.
After a few checks we will then ignite the fuse and if the Mopar gods are with us give her a light run through the gears, which is about all we can do at his place.
hopefully we can leave a rubber 11 and then prepare fo9r our first outing.
