yeah i know

but anything iffy starts off they'll have to content with My Arse or gurning bright red face in every shot until it stops....

budget won't stretch to dave arse removal, well not 8 hours of it anyway

Sandy.

I just found out the 3rd car for the filming is an XB coupe owned by a Nick (I held back his full name cos I am a bit twitchy about full details on the web).
I'll presume you know the man and the car.
Can you post a pic if you have one for us all to see please.

I do have red blood but it does not mean that I don't appreciate all 3 of the great Aussie cars of the day.

Yes, it is Nick's XB GT.

Top Gear UK are also looking for cars for one of their shows.

kate has been forwarding our details to her Chums on the UK production team

Very Nice.
Thanks for getting the photo Sandy!

I do like the 12 slots on the XW through to the XC Fords.
I look forward to meeting Nick and having a close look at his XB.

Sandy.

Can you please pm me Nick's email address so I can get my copy of today's photos to him.
Here are a few, nothing too special among them.

Dave
Does your second 'J' (in third pic) need a slight adjustment!
Could not help but get some sky in that shot to prove it was summer here.
I'll send you all photos full size all on a CD..... or if you are happy I can setup an FTP server for you to get them from. pm me if you are happy to do it by ftp.

Sorry if they are a bit Monaro centric!

Yeah my J is always a bit wonky
i'm onto my 3rd or 4th

something causes them to snap at the lower mount

I like to think it has something to do with the speed. but its probably the garage door lock hitting it :)

i'll get my rubbish phone photos off my phone today

FTP is fine by me

was a good morning.....
similar to other TV things i've been involved in
i.e
before hand.....you and your (car, equipment, whatever they want) are great....
during.... many thanks guys, great you could turn up etc this is what we need you to do.
After..... we're going over here or into the green room now, and we've booked you a taxi

same every time...

the young ladies with the headsets get ya

those of lower ranking say yes stay no probs
until big boss eventually comes over and says thanks guys you can go now......as in now cos you'll be in the way bye bye thanks great bye bye bye.....think their insurance just doesn't cover you after you're done

smashing though

good fun

and i'd do it again if i felt i could trust the company to do as they say.

in this case they did as they said they would and just drove the cars as intended, i.e they drove them in a sympathetic way and appeared to enjoy it

all good

Dunc

its not a slanter........

its a hemi 6

its got 7 mains

all of em bolted down like a 340.... nice fat chucks of steel

its the big bendy cam and rubbish oil pump that's the issue with these...

I maintain 10Lb per 1000 rpm on a hot day.......not good but they're all the same, shim the spring too much you wind the drive cog off or mash up the helical gear on the cam

its all good rattly fun :)
