thanks for that international-sausage welcome
making it legal:
there is a special registration in germany for cars that are older than 30 years.
this registration makes it a lot!!! cheaper (what makes it possible in the first place for normal people) to drive that car.
to get that registration you have to fulfil a lot of conditions...
no parts are allowed to be newer than the car is ( but modern safety systems and ecological stuff)
you need a km/h scale
the lights (right driving)
car must be in a good condition (no rust, good brakes, no oil
y engine, ...)
no extravagant coloration
no tigerskin seatcover
a modern radio is allowed !(they are so good to us)
and so on...its a long list and not everything you have to fulifil 100 %
it depends largely upon the guy who is inspecting your car...
(had sex last night or not...mopar fan or not...and so on)
see you

Nice work Marmite!!!
Couldn't be doing with all that legality stuff?
Its hard enough trying to get street legal here in the UK, without having to have sexual relationships with a grease covered MoT Inspector LOL!
I do know some Moparfloks that would probably enjoy that though???
Good luck with the Mopar, and why is it that 70's Mopars rust worse than 60's one???
Hope this piccy helps for the fender.
Bacca.

70s mopars made from higher % of recycled steel??
best illutration of this is VWs
1939-1968 factory had an iron ore plant at one end and the cars came out the other
1968 japanese recycled steel was well cheap Both US and Euro car makers jumped on the band wagon and VW turned their steel factory into a museum
post 68 VWs rust badly
and they didn't get it sorted until about 1980 how many mk 1 golfs do you see that are not Karmann Cabriolets made way after the MK1 was replaced?
1968 onwards cars rusted like there was no tomorrow until paint and coating tech and the 5 year warranty caught up
so If chrysler was trying to save a buck or two i bet the % of recycled to virgin steel changed for the worse as they moved into the 70s
