Si's '73 Roadrunner Adventure

Just thought I'd get some pics out there of my (almost) newly aquired 73 Roadrunner. Its been lying around for quite some time. I found it looking very sorry for itself under a tree in Pease Pottage, W Sussex. So, after blowing up my chevy camaro (is there anything else you can do with one?) I decided in my wisdom to spent the money (plus the sale of one of my Mk1 Cortinas) on my new little project. And yes it sits on the drive like that at the moment. And yes the neighbours love me! Especially when I fire it up straight off the headers! Its running a 440 with a few tweaks.

Its been lying around for some time and as such needs quite a bit of bodywork. I'm really just after some hints and tips on how to get bits and pieces for it and to share my frustration!

If anyone recognises it as well or remembers it, it'd be cool to hear about it! It used to be metallic red and was sprayed in the Mopar colours a few years ago before being laid up.

The plan is to finish off the drag aspirations that were started by the last owners. Here's a pic of the wheels that are planned for the back!

hi thanks for the pic! So it was about racing in 2001 then.Im surprised to find someone had a pic of it.If you mean Bob who runs a yellow charger with the big fin on the back and the nose cone on the front like the superbirds thats right I know bob and I got it of his workmate john in pease pottage where they do work on yanks you have probably heard of them, both great guys, think Bobs racing at the pod end of the month im going up for fri and sat but gotta fly on the sun.The centrelines on the front in that pic are for sale on here if anyone wants em as its getting the pro street treatment now.Thats cool thanks if anyone has any mpore info on the car or pics its great to see em.Ill be posting more pics as I sort the bodywork out,not sure on paint scheme yet maybe black with white and ice blue flames.Had the back bumper and stuff rechromed now as well.Expensive toy!

That car is a Daytona Charger and a fair bit rarer than a Superbird the big fin is meant to be there :)
