Fibreglass Panels made in Essex

Post by dustymopar »

I have just had a hood made for the '66'. I had previously considered going to Dale Edmonds (DRE) as I have done before or may giving Rob Kilman a go on the trusted recommendation of Jon C. However, considering cost travelling, time etc on this occasion had used someone local (ish). For this we contracted the services of Gary Wills of Motorsport Mouldings who is located in Basildon, Essex or Bas Vegas as we fondly know it as ;)

We collected the finished pieces (3 Hoods) yesterday from Gary and have got to say we were thoroughly impressed with the finished job and would absolutely no hesitation in using Gary again :thumbright:

As a finale in our Hood replacement quest, the donor steel hood was returned to its owner in Croydon. A big thanks to Andy for driving me there and an exceptionally big thank-you to George, who lent me his hood from his 66 Barracuda Formula S, in exchange for a GRP one (free of charge ofcourse) ;)

I can therefore recommend,

Thanks :thumbright:

Tell me about it, I had looked at allsort of options :? I got a mould, 3 Hoods and travelling all in for less than 1 GRP hood shipped in from across the pond. Being local made a lot of difference! Gary's prices are very competative and is easy to business with ;) I had a quick look at some of his other work and it was absolutely stunning
